A Dallas police officer accused of sexually assaulting a child has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting additional victims.

Tyrone Williams Jr., 49, who has been with the department since March 2009, was previously arrested in June 2021 when officers claimed he sexually assaulted a child. The daughter of a family friend had told authorities that Williams had inappropriately touched her while she was sleeping.

An arrest warrant affidavit states that the girl went to Williams’ home in South Oak Cliff in May 2021 after an argument with her father. According to the girl, she was sleeping in Williams’ daughter’s bedroom around May 22, 2021, when Williams touched her.

The girl alleged she woke up to Williams stroking her thighs. She asked Williams what he was doing, and he said, “Shh,” the warrant states. The girl further claimed she went back to sleep and woke up to find Williams on top of her, rubbing against her.

According to the warrant, Williams allegedly asked the girl whether she liked it, but she started to cry and pushed him. Reportedly, she then broke free from his hold and locked herself in the bathroom.

The girl, whose name and age have not been released, said Williams’ daughter was not present when the alleged incident happened.

In June, Williams was arrested and booked into the Lew Sterrett Justice Center and released on bail. He was put on administrative leave while the department conducted an internal investigation.

Now, Williams has been booked into the Dallas County jail on a second charge of sexual assault of a child. His bail has not been set.

The charge results from the Dallas Police Department looking into the case again after additional alleged victims came forward.

Details of the new charge are not known. Williams’ attorney, Scottie Allen, has so far declined requests for comment.
