Two North Texas companies hiring for the holiday season offer perks to encourage people to apply.
Kohl’s and Kroger will each hire more than 1,000 employees across their multiple Dallas-Fort Worth locations to help holiday season business operations.
Kohl’s recently announced plans to hire nearly 4,000 seasonal employees across DFW metroplex stores and fulfillment and distribution centers. The company offers flexible scheduling, weekly paychecks, and employee discounts of up to 35%.
The Wisconsin-based retailer plans to hire roughly 1,100 employees in Dallas, nearly 300 for the Corsicana distribution center, and about 2,500 at the Desoto e-commerce fulfillment center.
“Kohl’s is excited to add new associates to our growing teams and offer them an environment where they can grow professionally and personally,” the retailer said.
Applying for an open holiday position at Kohl’s can be done online or by texting the word “APPLY” to the number 24508. Individuals can also sign up for season hiring alerts. Interviews may be conducted on the phone, with decisions available for many within 24 hours.
“Our seasonal hiring efforts ensure that the teams on the front lines are equipped to provide our customers with an enjoyable and efficient holiday shopping experience regardless of how they choose to shop,” the company explained.
The other major retailer hiring for associate holiday positions in North Texas is Kroger.
The Ohio-based grocery chain plans to hire 1,500 full- and part-time positions across the metroplex. The company offers associate discounts for groceries, travel, and streaming services, to name a few.
Kroger will also provide health and retirement benefits, up to $21,000 in tuition reimbursement, and next-day pay with the company’s DailyPay initiative.
Potential team members can find open job positions online through Kroger’s website. Applications can be filled out online or in person at qualifying Kroger locations.
