The historic Southfork Ranch is hosting Third Monday Trade Days. The monthly event will start on the weekend of January 14 -16.

Shop from over 100 vendors that have something for everyone, including clothing, antiques, handmade items, specialty foods, and more, while enjoying one of Dallas’ most treasured venues.

To kick off the inaugural weekend of Third Monday Trade Days, The Texas Bluesmen, known as “The Ultimate Blues Brothers Experience,” will perform on Saturday and Sunday, January 15 and 16, from noon until 4 p.m.

Attendees will be able to see the Bluesmobile and autographed memorabilia from the Blues Brothers cast.

Each month, Third Monday Trade days will be held on the weekend before the third Monday of the month. Parking is free on Friday and ten dollars on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be food trucks with food and beverages for purchase. Admission is always free.

Southfork Ranch came to life in 1978 when it was chosen as the site for the hit CBS TV series Dallas. The drama, which ran from 1978 until 1991, gave America some of television’s most memorable characters.

The series was a hit from conception; airing for five consecutive Sunday nights, audiences fell in love with JR Ewing and his oil baron family. By the fifth episode, Dallas ranked in the top ten TV shows on television. Dallas was such a big hit that it launched the spin-off of another long-running series, Knots Landing.

The original owner of the ranch lived on the property during the filming of Dallas. However, when requests for private events came pouring in, the owner decided to renovate the ranch so it could accommodate private and public events year-round. A rodeo area was also built for Dallas’ rodeo scenes and live competitions.

After filming for the television show wrapped, a successful businessman and client of Southfork, Rex Maughan, purchased Southfork in 1992. He has continued to expand the business of “The World’s Most Famous Ranch,” to include trail rides, and now, Third Monday Trade Days.

Southfork Ranch is located in Parker, Texas, at 3700 Hogge Drive.
