Hilti Group, a massive tool and construction equipment company, is making a huge move for more space. Hilti’s North American subsidiary will be expanding operations into two new buildings, one office and one industrial, located on Round Grove Road near State Highway 121 in Lewisville, Texas.
The two buildings are a combined 485,000 square feet spanning sixty-six acres, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Hilti, currently based in Plano, supplies the worldwide construction and energy industries with technology-leading productions, software, and service.
The business park where the future buildings are located is called Bison Grove Business Park. Hines, who is a Houston-based developer, is constructing the project for Hilti Group. Hines bought the site and is currently working on the construction of four buildings that will total 880,000 square feet of light industrial space.
Construction is now underway on Bison Grove Business Park and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. Hilti will occupy Building Three and Four on the campus in order to keep up with its growing workforce and to expand space requirements.
Building Three, which is approximately 350,000 square feet, will be Hilti’s Dallas distribution center. Building Four, at 135,000 square feet, will be an office for Hilti’s project management, customer experience center, tool service center, and market organizations.
Both buildings will have amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor green space, an on-site video studio, a high-tech business center, and individual climate-controlled spaces. Hilti North American headquarters will stay at its home at the Legacy Tower in Plano.
Hines is a global real estate company that is privately owned and founded in 1957. According to the company, they have a presence in 255 cities in twenty-seven countries. They also provide third-party property-level services to more than 367 properties, which combined total 138.3 million square feet.
In the past, Hines has developed, redeveloped, or purchased about 1,486 properties, all totaling over 492 million square feet. The company currently has 171 developments in progress around the world.
