HGTV has been delivering home improvement inspiration since 1994 and is partially responsible for many of today’s trends, including modern rustic decor, shiplap, and multipurpose living spaces. Residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth area soon may be able to get direct inspiration from the cable television network as the series No Demo Reno is seeking candidates for its next season.

The show, which premiered in March 2021, focuses on homeowners who want to transform their space without changing its footprint. Instead of changing the floorplan, host Jenn Todryk adapts the existing structure to a contemporary design.

The series is now looking for homeowners in North Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Lucas, Richardson, Prosper, and Fairview to feature. Applicants must wish to renovate their home and be willing to leave the transformation ideas up to the No Demo Reno team.

They should also have a specific budget in mind. Although the show’s team offers design planning for free, they do not cover the cost of the labor and materials. Homeowners should have a budget of $10,000 to $100,000, depending on the project’s magnitude.

Some other qualifications that DFW Metroplex candidates must consider include the following:

• The desire to renovate two to four areas of their home;
• A budget of up to $20,000 for two spaces and $50,000 to $100,000 for four spaces;
• The willingness and ability to vacate the home for six to eight weeks during the process.

The series provides renovations for indoor and outdoor spaces, including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, patios, laundry rooms, bonus rooms, offices, and in-law suites.

Todryk became recognized for her blog, “Life as a Rambling Redhead,” in which she shares details about her life as a mother with a passion for her kids, homeschooling, and design.

Her internet family grew, and she now has more than a million followers on Instagram. After starting her own show on HGTV, Todryk became even more well-known.

One of the benefits of redoing a house without a demo is the reduced cost. By transforming existing structures and textures, Todryk helps homeowners save money while achieving their goals.

Although she is the show’s host, Todryk does not do the work herself. Instead, general contractor Tony Taveras and master carpenter David Piper manage the projects and perform the renovations. But Todryk’s influence is pervasive.

She often repurposes cabinets, bookshelves, and other pieces of furniture to breathe new life into a home’s flow. Paint is one of her most common methods of reinvigorating outdated features.
