A Frisco teen received a surprise of a lifetime when she was named a recipient of the Diana Award from Prince Harry.

Founder of Kindness4All, Pranavi Reddi created the nonprofit in June 2020 to “promote kindness, compassion, happiness and positivity,” Reddi said.

“Congrats to founder of the nonprofit ‘Kindness4All.’ Pranavi Reddi, on being named a recipient of the @DianaAward,” U.S. Rep. Van Taylor (R-Plano) said in a June 29 Twitter post. “This award is the highest accolade a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts. She’s an inspiring leader who truly serves with compassion.”

Since launching Kindness4All, Reddi and members have spread some warmth and positivity by writing letters to the homeless community and breast cancer patients, written thank-you’s to volunteers with Frisco Family Services and created origami pets for nursing home residents, NBCDFW reported.

Diana’s youngest son with Prince Charles, the Duke of Sussex, addressed the honorees, including Pranavi, in a video message.

“I’m truly honored to be celebrating your work, your commitment to change-making and the vital role that you’ve taken on representing a new generation of humanitarianism,” Prince Harry said in his video message, reported by People.

Based in the United Kingdom, the registered charity annually honors young people who make a difference.

“Our mum believed that young people have the power to change the world,” Prince Harry said,  People reported. “She believed in your strength because she saw it day in and day out and in the faces of young people exactly like you, she witnessed a boundless enthusiasm and passion.”

It’s the only charity set up in memory of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

“In my opinion, the greatest superpower we all have is the power of kindness,” Reddi said, reported by NBCDFW. “And Kindness4All is all about helping people unleash that superpower while giving back to the community.”
