Live music, art, food, and good times are returning to Main Street in Deep Ellum. After taking a year off due to COVID-19, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival is back, Sept. 10-12, in Downtown Dallas.

The festival comprises seven blocks of Main Street in the entertainment district of Deep Ellum. The street festival features 200 decorative and visual artists100 original bands and performers, The Artists in Motion Walk, and delicious food and beverages. The festival takes place rain or shine, providing a unique outdoor experience.

Deep Ellum Festival Founder and CEO, Stephen Millard, says, “Festival attendees can stroll through displays of cutting-edge decorative arts and admire, commission, and purchase the works of sculptors, muralists, jewelers, painters, leather and wood crafters, as well as other specialized fine artists, some of whom will be creating original pieces on the spot.”

The sounds of the festival are pure Texas as Deep Ellum’s music scene takes the spotlight on four different stages and two performance areas. Various music genres will be featured, ranging from alternative to classical to country to funk and everything in between.

Admission to Deep Ellum Arts Festival is free. Festival hours are Friday, Sept. 10 and 11, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event is “adult-oriented,” so parents are advised to supervise young children and teenagers if they attend.
