A 22-year-old woman in Dallas is facing a charge of Driving While Intoxicated after pulling up behind deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office as they helped other motorists along Interstate-30, near Loop 12.

Around 1:30 a.m. on January 17, the deputies called the Dallas police for assistance. They said a vehicle pulled up behind them while helping a motorist along the road.

Per CBS 11 News, the deputies said that the car, which Dallas police describe as a gold-colored Honda, drove behind their patrol vehicles, towards the right side, and stopped. Two deputies went to the car, and on seeing the driver, she said that she pulled over on that spot, thinking something was wrong with her car wheels.

After reporting the case to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to the scene and took up the matter. During an inquiry into the case, they detained two men and two women and then conducted field sobriety tests on the vehicle driver.

Dallas police say the driver failed the sobriety tests. The driver was placed under arrest for DWI.

According to CBS 11 News, no officer or civilian was injured on the side of the highway.

Police identified the driver as Ashely Segura Silva. Silva was taken to the Dallas County Jail, where she was held. As of Tuesday, no bond has been set for her.

The identities of the other people detained by police during their inquiry are unknown.
