A fire broke out at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport at the Terminal D garage on Monday, officials say. While the fire was not fatal, it did disrupt some travelers’ movement that evening.
DFW Airport officials, in a post on Twitter, said the fire was under control around 5:30 p.m. However, the terminal was only available to drop-off traffic. The tweet also mentioned that no passengers or employees were injured in the incident.
Later in the evening, the airport announced that the garage had been reopened for drop-off and pick-up after officials conducted a thorough check on the scene.
According to the airport, several vehicles were damaged by the fire. Officials also said that Level 4, rows F, G, and H are the areas of the garage that were affected by the fire.
The airport has not released further information on the fire. It is still unclear what caused the fire.
