According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), a Dallas woman was charged with murder-for-hire in connection to her husband’s murder in 2020.

Authorities alleged Jennifer Faith tricked her boyfriend, Darrin Lopez, into killing her husband, Jamie Faith.

The DOJ accused Jennifer of using fake email accounts to communicate to Lopez that her husband was physically and sexually abusive. She also used false claims and stock photos to convince Lopez into doing her bidding.

Dallas police said Lopez killed Jamie, who was forty-nine years old and American Airlines IT director at the time of his death, as he and Jennifer were walking their dog Maggie at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, in the 1000 block of South Waverly Drive in North Oak Cliff.

Jennifer’s indictment also revealed that she used GoFundMe money to purchase various things for Lopez, including a TV.

If found guilty of the crime, Jeniffer will be facing a prison sentence of life behind bars and possibly the death penalty.

Lopez is also facing ten years in prison for the murder of Jamie.
