The Dallas Police Department held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor event recognizing Preston Baty of Boy Scout Troop 707.

The event was held last month at Dallas Elk Lodge No. 71, the Charter Organization for Boy Scout Troop 707.

According to Dallas police, Sgt. Dudley Nosworthy II presented Preston with a Southeast Division Challenge Coin in recognition of his achievement in earning the Eagle Scout Award.

Preston earned the award after completing an Eagle Scout Service Project by remodeling the Dallas Police Department Southeast Patrol Division’s basketball court.

Dallas Police said Preston installed a new goal at the court and repainted the surface playing area.
