COVID-19 affects Friday Night Lights as it sidelined Mesquite Horn against its match-up with the Highland Park Scots this Friday.

However, thanks to the quick action of Johnny Ringo, Highland Park Independent School District Athletic Director, there will be a football game on Friday night.

The Scots will host Flower Mound High School Jaguars at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 3, at Highlander Stadium.

Reserved tickets are available at the Scots Athletic Office for $12. Tickets can be purchased Thursday, Sept. 2, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4 p.m., and on Friday, Sept. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Advanced general admission tickets are available on HPQuikTickets. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for students until Friday, Sept. 3 at noon. After that, all general admission tickets are $8.

Additionally, Thursday, Sept. 2, changes for sub-varsity games are as follows:

  • 5 p.m. – JV Blue at Richardson Berkner
  • 5:30 p.m. – Ninth-grade Blue at home vs. Flower Mound
  • 7 p.m. – Ninth-grade Gold at home vs. Waxahachie

Football season tickets are available for pickup at the Highland Park Athletics Office located in the HPISD Admin Multi-Use Building, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, Sept. 3.

For more information, contact the athletic office at 214-780-4035.
