On January 24, Cinergy Entertainment Group released its reflections on its Fifth Annual Food & Toy Donation Drive.

Established in 2009, the privately held Benson-family entity operates eight luxury “recline and dine” cinema and entertainment venues in Texas, Oklahoma, and North Carolina.

“We are so happy to be able to give back to our community. This year we were able to provide over 2,500 meals and 500 toys to local needy families,” Vice President of Marketing Traci Hoey expressed.

Every year Cinergy hosts a canned food drive for families in need. Over one ton of canned food was collected through its seven locations the week before Thanksgiving.

Cinergy is also donating more than 500 toys to local organizations like Toys for Tots, Toys for Cops, and more. Guests at the seven Cinergy locations (who donated canned food or unwrapped gifts) received either a game-playing fun card or free popcorn as a gesture of gratitude for their contribution. Referred to throughout the organization as an “Annual Harvest,” the event is important for community engagement and continues to break donation records year after year.

In 2019, Cinergy Entertainment Group was heralded as Top Family-Entertainment Center of the World by the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA).

Along with high-end movie amenities, multiple Cinergy centers offer a unique collection of interactive gaming and a variety of additional amenities, including: bowling, ax throwing, laser tag, escape rooms, virtual reality, and an elevated ropes course with zip lines. Every Cinergy center includes reclining movie theaters and food courts that offer a menu of chef-inspired American fare.
