30-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Oak Lawn

A 30-year-old man was fatally shot on Monday morning in Oak Lawn after he was approached by another man who demanded money from him, Dallas police say.
According to a news release on the DPD Beat, officers of the Dallas PD responded to a shooting call at the Flamingo Apartments, located at 3901 N. Hall Street on Monday, Sept. 20, at around 2:54 a.m.

Upon arrival, first responders found a man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Dallas PD identified the victim as Justin Wayne Thompson, a 30-year old white male. Dallas police have not made an arrest in connection to the fatal shooting as of Monday afternoon.

Dallas PD said the case is an ongoing investigation and urged anyone with information to contact Detective Scott Sayers at 214-671-3647 or [email protected].

Dallas Crime Stoppers also offers a reward of $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment for this and other felony offenses.
